An Interruption. A Short Short.
An Interruption is a one-minute short film centered on the theme of—appropriately—interruption. Created as a playful meditation on timing and attention, the film was conceptualized, produced, and directed by me in New York City.
After being given the theme, I took to the city for inspiration and began sketching out storyboards and scenes. I sourced the camera, props, and locations, and enlisted a friend and my husband to act in the piece. We filmed on location in Washington Square Park, with a simple visual setup and natural light. I handled the full post-production edit and sound design to complete the piece.
While short and light in tone, the film was a personal creative milestone—one where I carried an idea from spark to screen and brought others into the process. It reflects my love of storytelling, pacing, and film direction, and reminds me how much can be said in under 60 seconds.
